A master’s degree in HR management equips you with specialized knowledge and skills that can help you become an influential leader. The subject matter of the program is designed to align with the curriculum standards of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). The graduate degree requires 36 credits, including 8 core courses, a capstone and 3 electives.

Upon graduation, you’ll have the skills and confidence to develop and implement Master hr online strategies that support organizational goals. In this course, you’ll explore the theory and practice of performance appraisal, as well as the principles and practices of job evaluation. You’ll learn how to develop and use performance assessment tools and techniques, as well as how to conduct an effective performance review process.

This course is designed to provide an understanding of the major forces that shape international HR practice and issues. The goal is to enhance students’ awareness and appreciation of the importance of HR as a strategic partner in achieving organizational success in an increasingly global business environment.

This course will focus on the major issues affecting pay systems and programs, including base pay, incentive pay and sales, executive and advanced individual performance pay. You’ll also learn about the major theories of motivation, employee involvement, equity and pay discrimination. In addition, you will have the opportunity to explore issues related to governmental regulations and legal challenges in the area of pay equity.
